The Dynamics of Narcissistic Abuse

Course Description:


2-day intensive training on the dynamics of narcissistic abuse.

Learning Objectives:


On completion of the course, learners will: 


  • Gain deeper knowledge of the various forms of domestic abuse
  • Be aware of the patterns of abusive behaviours 
  • Identify perpetrators behavioural motivations including some cultural, traditional and religious beliefs 
  • Become aware of some the effects of domestic abuse in familial relationships
  • Be aware of risk factors and ways to mitigate them
  • Best practices and referral pathways

2 consecutive days

10am - 4pm on both days

This course is suitable for professionals who work with families affected by domestic abuse or narcissistic abuse, Therapists, Life Coaches, Social Workers, Housing officers, refuge or outreach workers, volunteers, carers, pastoral carers, religious leaders, religious relationship counsellors, religious therapists, Human resources personnels, managers and team leads in business organisations, family mediators and individuals with keen interest in the subject matter.

Post-Separation Abuse

Course Description:


Full day intensive training on the dynamics of post-separation abuse.

Learning Objectives:


On completion of the course, learners will: 


  • Gain deeper knowledge of survivor's lived realties after separating from the abuser
  • Be aware of the post-separation abuse framework
  • Be able to recognise the challenges survivors face post-separation
  • Have the ability to identify risk factors and ways to mitigate them
  • Become aware of appropriate intervention and support services
  • Design action plans for improved service delivery

Narcissistic Abuse & Parenting Capacity

Course Description:


Full day intensive training on the impacts of narcissistic abuse on the parent-child relationship.

Learning Objectives:


On completion of the course, learners will: 


  • Gain a deeper knowledge of the impacts of domestic abuse/narcissistic abuse on the children and the survivor
  • Learn the challenges of the parent-child relationship
  • Be aware of children's responses to witnessing domestic abuse and parental separation
  • Gain better awareness of steps to rebuild positive parent to child relationship
  • Identify ways to establish healthy boundaries

One full day

Trauma-Informed Family Court Support

Course Description:


Full day intensive training on how to support domestic abuse or narcissistic abuse survivors who are going through the courts.

Learning Objectives:


On completion of the course, learners will: 


  • Be aware of some of the legal provisions relating to child arrangemnet orders
  • Learn the manipulative tactics abusers use in the family court and how to overcome them
  • Learn how to structure and present court position statements
  • Be aware of how to communicate effectively with the agencies involved
  • Learn how to prevent re-traumatising your clients
  • Recognise ways to save cost of solicitor's fees
  • Be aware of available support services

This course is suitable for survivors and professionals who work with domestic abuse survivors going through the family courts including family solicitors, mediators, Mckenzie friends, social workers, school safeguarding personnels, HR personnels, department and team leads, IDVAs, relationships coaches and counsellors and individuals interested in the subject matter.
